332/365: Pokes Paddle

Today started the week before Bedlam, and I’m very excited about this. Bedlam is going to be a big game, and I’m excited to say I’ll be shooting the game instead of cheering my team on.

That being said I figured I’d spend a little poke pride this week. I don’t know if it’ll be up every day this week, but I’ll see what I can do.

This here is a Pokes Paddle that was given to me by some cowboy players that left them before going to the NFL. Zac Robinson and Russle Okung left there prattles to Kendra and I after they graduated.

I’ve never had the time or ambition to joint he paddle people, but I do enjoy having a paddle around because I think they look awesome. So I decided to start my bedlam week with a paddle picture.

Have a great day,

Mitch

OSU vs. TamU

SO OSU football is underway, and I finally got the opportunity to get my feet on the turf.

I had a great time shooting the game, but the problem is those DANG black jerseys. As a fan I think the black unis look good, but I bleed orange, so I’d rather see the orange uniforms. As a photographer I hate the black uniforms because they suck up all the light.

This makes it tough as heck to shoot, and makes the photos really noisy but to get the photo you got to do what you got to do.

This post is full of photos; sorry theirs so many but this is the group of photos that I like the most. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Hopefully I get to shoot another game were there wearing orange and I can clean up the photos a lil bit.

The cowboys are 4 and 0, and I’m glad I got to shoot the A&M game, hope we keep playing like we have been.

This will be the last blog post of the day; I’ll be back in a few.

A lot of photos to follow the break!

Every Light in the Library is on…

20091014-DSC_8147

The Village homecoming float has a pomped version of Edmond Low, and It came out really good.

The Village’s float is going to kick some tail this year at the homecoming parade.

Tonight I went over and did some pomping to help our village do the best it can do, and I hope we win but if not I know we worked hard to show are spirit.

This photo was shot with two off camera lights behind the pomped library and I really liked the way that it lit up all of the pomping tissue.

I’m off to bed, four posts in one night and I’m out of stuff to talk about.

Good night world, Stay Classy and happy homecoming

Go Pokes!!!

Mitch

Just like Edmond Low I bleed Orange.

20091011-DSC_7943

Edmond Low Library's fountain gets colored orange during the world's largest homecoming.

I LOVE HOMECOMING!

It makes it feel good to be a cowboy. I bleed the color orange just like the university and it is an amazing feeling to see all the alumni come back to see the university.

One of my favorite parts of homecoming is on how they dye the fountain orange. It shows that the university is pumping orange through its veins.

I shot this photo at around 1/20th a second to get the smooth action of the fountain and to not get the splish splash that I would have got had I shot it faster.

Happy Homecoming OSU, GO Pokes,

stay classy

Mitch
