311/365: Self-portrait

Today I helped teach the Ag comm photo class. We were talking all about portraits, and that got my mind churning on doing some new things. So in the next few days you might be seeing some self-portraits.

This is one of those self-portraits that I had in mind. This is a combination of blogs that I’ve read lately ranging from famous movie posters to using a flash in the background.

I always try to hide the flash in the background, but today I decided to put a gel on it and throw in right in the middle of the frame. Didn’t turn out like I wanted, but that’s what experimenting is all about.

I also have no idea why I didn’t put on my boots before I went and shot this, I hate it with tennis shoes.
