341/365: Christmas Bulb

Tonight I wanted to get another Christmas shot. I’ve been having some fun photo shoots lately, but tonight was nothing but a homework night so I thought Kendra’s Christmas tree was the perfect subject.

I threw on a wide angle, and dropped the aperture to 2.8. I wanted to get some nice bokeh out of the Christmas lights on the tree. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to shoot, but I was drawn to this little matte blue bulb on the tree.

There are some very pretty bulbs, but this little guy had me entranced. I just love Christmas, sometimes it’s elaborate but when it’s simple, it’s just beautiful.

Hope everyone is having a nice Dead week,
