313/365: The Little Things

I’ll be the first to admit that I hate how Christmas has totally encroached on Turkey day. I know Christmas is were the money is at, but I really don’t like seeing Christmas trees up for two weeks, it makes me lose the specialty of Christmas.

That being said, I do love these little candy cane kisses that they make during the holiday season. I think they’re delicious, and as soon as I see Christmas trees up in Wal-Mart I seek them out.

I had a plan for another self portrait today, but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to, so I decided to do some close up of these little candies.

There is a speedlite to the left of the subject; shooting into the softbox umbrella it’s as close to the frame as I could get it.

Also there is a Photoshoped image of the photo from last night. I mentioned that I hated the shoes in the image, so my good friend Todd Johnson decided to edit some boots in for me. I like the way it turned out a lot more.

Today was a big day, got a couple freelance jobs lined up. Once everything is set in stone I’ll go ahead and let you know what I have planned.
